Our workweek runs Monday through Sunday. Employees are paid weekly. Payroll checks are in our office available for pick-up each Wednesday (Shreveport) or Thursday (Longview). Checks not picked-up by 4:00p.m. are always mailed.
HOLIDAY PAY
Temporary employees are eligible to be paid the following holidays (6):
New Year's Days Independence Day Thanksgiving Day Memorial Day Labor Day Christmas Day To qualify for each paid holiday, you must have worked 1,000 hours preceding the holiday week. You must also work both the day before and the next working day following a holiday. (Payrolled employees will be figured at minimum wage). Holiday pay is figured at the average number of hours you work each day times your average rate of pay not to exceed $8.00 an hour.
VACATION PAY
You are eligible for one (1) week vacation pay after you have been with Jean Simpson one (1) year AND have worked at least 1,800 hours. Those 1,800 hours must have been worked within a 12-month period from your anniversary date with Jean Simpson. (Ex. If you start work for Jean Simpson on July 1, 2004…then on July 1, 2005 if you have worked at least 1,800 hours you will be eligible for a vacation check.) Your hours start over each anniversary date and any hours over the 1,800 are not counted. Your vacation pay will be figured at the average number of hours you work each week times the average rate of pay not to exceed $8.00 an hour. (PAYMASTER employees will be figured at minimum wage.) You may receive your vacation pay after your one (1) year anniversary date. You are responsible for contacting our office when you have qualified.
REFERRAL BONUS
We always need qualified temporaries in our secretarial and industrial divisions. Receive $15 when the person you refer works for Jean Simpson Personnel Services, Inc., 100 hours. You are responsible for sending in the referral bonus certificate.
FREE WORD PROCESSING TRAINING
Jean Simpson Personnel Services, Inc. is currently offering free in-house word processing training to qualified applicants. To be qualified, you must have knowledge of at least one word processing software package. Word Processing currently being offered is Word Perfect, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Call our office if you are interested in this training.
